received an M.A. degree in sound engineering from the Frederic Chopin Academy of Music, Warsaw, in 1980, a Ph. D. degree in acoustics from the Adam Mickiewicz University, Poznań, in 1989, and a Independent Researcher Degree in musicology from the Warsaw University, in 2004. He is a professor at the Frederic Chopin Academy of Music, and at the Warsaw University, Institute of Musicology. The main fields of his research interests are psychoacoustics, musical acoustics, and sound quality assessment.
