On the 13th of December, 2023 at 5.30 p.m., at the the Polish Composers' Union (Rynek Starego Miasta 27), a meeting initiating the implementation of the project "Józef Koffler - Lviv and European composer" with the participation of representatives of the Organizing Committee will take place. Dr. Michał Piekarski will give a lecture about Józef Koffler, introducing listeners to the issues that will be the subject of the new internet portal. Free entrance!
The new website will be devoted to the life and creative activity of the Polish artist of Jewish descent, Józef Koffler - composer, teacher and musicologist, who was born on the 28th of November, 1896 in Stryj (now Ukraine), and died probably in 1944, near Krosno. As part of the project, lectures and meetings are also planned to disseminate current research findings and the knowledge about Józef Koffler resulting from new research.
