On the 11th of December, a gala to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Ludvig van Beethoven Association was held at the Wawel Royal Castle. On the occasion of the anniversary, by the decision of the President of the Republic of Poland, Andrzej Duda, in recognition of and contribution to the popularization of classical music, Ms. Elżbieta Penderecka, president of the management board of the Association, was awarded the Commander's Cross with Star of the "Poland Rebirth" Order, and Andrzej Giza, director of the Association, was awarded the Knight's Cross of the "Poland Rebirth" Order.
The programme of the ceremony included a performance by the Polish Radio Choir in Lusławice, conducted by Maciej Tworek and pianist Łukasz Krupiński.
