Young Polish Philharmonic Orchestra and Israeli trumpeter Yigal Meltzer under Adam Klocek will give concerts in Puławy, Łódź, Wrocław, Warsaw and Katowice between November 18 and 23, 2016.
The Orchestra is the only Polish youth orchestra subsidised from private funds, consisting of 43 students of music schools and universities aged between 16 and 21 who were selected during nationwide auditions. Young musicians receive annual financial scholarships from the Zwierciadło Foundation, which organises 2 concert tours a year. Each tour is preceded by artistic workshops, which last few days and consist of classes run by teachers from local Academies of Music, musicians of the National Philharmonic Orchestra, Sinfonia Varsovia Orchestra and foreign artists - soloists and members of well-known orchestras.
During its 10th concert tour, the Orchestra will present Trumpet Concerto in E-flat major by Johann Nepomuk Hummel, Sinfonia Concertante for Four Winds in E-flat major, K. 297b by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Symphony No. 3 in E-flat major "Eroica" by Ludwig van Beethoven.
