European Student Symphony Orchestra on Tour

kEuropean Student Symphony Orchestra under Marek Pijarowski will give concerts in Katowice, Wrocław and Dresden between November 19 and 21, 2016.

The project, organized by the Karol Lipiński Academy of Music in Wrocław as an event of the European Capital of Culture Wrocław 2016, is addressed to young musicians from selected European universities. It creates an opportunity to integrate the artistic academic community, including partner cities of Wrocław such as Lviv, Prague and Dresden.

The Orchestra’s autumn tour includes 3 concerts - in Katowice on November 19 (Concert Hall of the National Polish Radio Symphony Orchestra), Wrocław on November 20 (National Forum of Music) and Dresden on November 21 (Hochschule für Musik Carl Maria von Weber).

Young musicians, joined by violinist Jacek Ropski and Feichtinum Choir of the Academy of Music in Wrocław, will present Academic Festival Oveture, Op. 80 by Johannes Brahms, Violin Concerto in A major, Op. 8 by Mieczysław Karłowicz, Don Juan, Op. 20 by Richard Strauss and Suite No. 2 "Dafnis et Chloe" by Maurice Ravel.
