The "Musica Sacra" Institute is accepting applications for the "Musica Caelestis" Composition Competition held on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Warszawa-Praga.
The competition is open to Polish composers of any age. Each participant may submit more than one work. The compositions should be set to a Latin text, written for female choir a cappella or female choir and organ, and be suitable for liturgical use. Their length should not exceed 7 minutes. The submitted compositions must have never been publicly performed, published, recorded or awarded in any other competition.
The Jury will consist of Paweł Łukaszewski, Miłosz Bembinow, Bartosz Kowalski and Łukasz Farcinkiewicz.
Submission deadline: May 15, 2017.
The results of the competition will be announced no later than mid-June 2017, while the award-giving gala and laureates’ concert will be held on November 12, 2017.
