10th edition of the Gdańsk Art of Accordion Music Interpretation will be held on December 6 and 11, 2017 in Gdańsk.
The festival programme covers both premieres of new accordion works as well as classical chamber and solo accordion repertoire. On December 6th at the Gdańsk Main Town Hall Paweł Zagańczyk and a group of students from the Academy of Music in Gdańsk will premiere accordeon concerts by Krzesimir Dębski and Maciej Zimka. We will also hear a duet: Julianna An (violin) and Martyna Podolska (accordion).
The concert on December 11th at the City Culture Institute in Gdańsk will feature new accordion works performed by students of professor Krzysztof Olaczak (Błażej Reiter, Marta Stanzecka, Albert Woelke) from the Feliks Nowowiejski General Primary and Secondary Music School in Gdańsk, and Tomasz Kwiatkowski (Paweł Wiśniewski) from the General Primary and Secondary Music School in Grudziądz. W will also hear Paweł Ratajek, a second year student at the Academy of Music in Gdańsk.
The entrance to the concerts is free.
