10 young adepts of musical art were qualified to the semi-finals of the Young Musician of the Year 2022 competition. The semi-final struggles of young artists will be broadcast on TVP Kultura on the 17th and 24th of April 2022. The final of the competition will be held on the 2nd of May at the National Philharmonic in Warsaw. Tickets for the gala ceremony will be available from the 6th of April.
A jury will select five finalists. The winner of the competition will represent Poland at the Eurovision Song Contest for Young Musicians in Montpellier.
The aim of the nationwide competition for the best musician playing one of the classical instruments is to promote young talents - students of secondary music schools and at the same time to encourage them to improve their skills in playing the instrument.
The co-organizers of this year's edition of the Young Musician of the Year competition are the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage together with the National Institute of Music and Dance and TVP Kultura.
