During the festival, there will be an international music course called the Szczecin Classic Academy for students and graduates of conservatoires from Poland and Europe, as well as a competition
for a chamber ensemble residency. The opening concert of the festival will feature the winner of the chamber ensemble residency competition, who will receive not only the financial prize but also the opportunity to perform a concert which will be live streamed on Polish Radio ‘Dwójka’ and on the internet.

In addition to evening concerts in a variety of ensembles - whether chamber or orchestral - the accompanying events, which are an integral part of the Festival, help to break down barriers to new listeners. Among the leisure activities offered to the city's residents during the May Festival period are morning gymnastics with classical music in the park, musical happenings in the city center, dance lessons, open lectures for future artists, and thematic workshops.
