Review of the 10th edition of the International Katarzyna Myćka Marimba Academy

X International Katarzyna Myćka Marimba Academy

On July 14-23, 2023 in Gdańsk, at the Stanisław Moniuszko Academy of Music, the International Katarzyna Myćka Marimba Academy - IKMMA took place. It was the jubilee, 10th edition.

The Marimba Academy is organized every 2 years in different countries (Poland, Germany, Luxembourg, USA). During the 9th edition of the aforementioned event (2019), I had the pleasure of attending two IKMMA concerts in Gdańsk. Even then I was interested in this project, and in particular its international character, bringing together participants from all over the world. This year (2023) I took part in the entire event as a participant. 10. IKMMA made a great impression on me, also in terms of organization.
