Sinfonietta in Pink

Sinfonietta na różowoBaltic Neopolis Orchestra’s first concert of the cycle titled Great Concertmasters in 2016 will be held on February 6 in the Trafo Center for Contemporary Art (4 Św. Ducha St.) under the title Sinfonietta in Pink. The ensemble will be led by Tomasz Tomasewski – violinist of the Deutsche Oper Berlin.

Tomasz Tomaszewski is a professor at the Universität der Künste in Berlin and the first concertmaster of the Deutsche Oper in Berlin. Having completed studies at the Academy of Music in Warsaw, he continued his education in Leningrad and Freiburg. For many years he has been engaged in artistic activity as a soloist, chamber musician and conductor, performing concerts all over the world. He made several recordings for record labels in Poland, Germany and Japan. He is the founder and artistic director of the orchestra Kammersolisten der Deutschen Oper Berlin and Silesian Summer Music Festival. As a valued educator he is frequently invited to sit on the the juries of music competitions.
