Baltic Neopolis Festival

The Baltic Neopolis Festival has been organized by the Baltic Neopolis Orchestra Association in Szczecin since 2015. It aims at introducing and popularising chamber music in the West Pomeranian Voivodeship, particularly to audiences who have no access to classical music on a daily basis. This summer's Festival concerts take place in public spaces – at squares, in parks etc., and bring together outstanding artists from around the world.

The Baltic Neopolis Festival guests included internationaly-renowned musicians: violinist Vaska Vassileva, concertmaster of the Covent Garden Opera House in London; soprano Yevgenia Vasilchuk from the Bolshoi Theatre; musicians from the flamenco-electronic group Chambao from Spain; violinist Sandor Javorkaia from Hungary; guitarist Miriam Rodriguez Brüllová from Slovakia; cellist Petr Nouzovsky from the Czech Republic; pianist Pamela Tan Nicholson from Singapore; bandoneonist Marcel Nisinman from Argentina; pianist Ingrid Fujiko von Georgii-Hemming from Sweden; marimbist Vivi Vassileva from Germany; harpists Anna Steinkogler from Austria and Rosa Díaz Cotán from Spain; and outstanding Polish saxophonist Alina Mleczko.

The Baltic Neopolis Virtuosi regularly performes at the Festival. This international ensemble consists of members of the Baltic Neopolis Orchestra and such soloists as: Bartłomiej Nizioł – excellent Polish violinist; Emanuel Salvador – Portuguese violinist, concertmaster of the Baltic Neopolis Orchestra; Radosław Pujanek – concertmaster of the Wrocław Philharmonic Orchestra; Emilia Goch Salvador – Polish violist, founder and director of the Baltic Neopolis Orchestra; Andriy Viytovych – Ukrainian violist, first violist of the Royal Opera House in London; Adam Klocek – Polish conductor and cellist, Grammy Award winner in 2014; and Andreas Lend – one of the most successful Estonian cellists.

Young musicians from the Baltic Neopolis Orchestra – BNO Academy are also invited to participate in the Festival. The project includes animations and music workshops for children and adults "Art week in Świnoujście".
