Baltic Neopolis Virtuosi (BNV) is an international ensemble comprised of world-renowned musicians, who share the passion for chamber music. The project was initiated in 2016 and is run by the Baltic Neopolis Orchestra from Szczecin in collaboration with partners from the Baltic countries. It aims at promoting Polish music and music from other Baltic countries, as well as rarely performed chamber works for bigger ensembles – from quintets, through sextets and octets, to chamber orchestras.
BNV in 2016, 2017 and 2018 has performed on prestigious festivals in the Baltic region: Usedomer Musikfestival (Germany), 13th Tallinn Chamber Music Festival (Estonia), O/Modernt New Generation (Sweden), Baltic Neopolis Festival (Poland), Pazaislis Music Festival (Lithuania), as well as Grieg in Bergen (Norway), the 17th International Festival «Asia — Siberia — Europe» (Russia), International Spring Orchestra Festival (Malta). In 2019 BNV toured India and Vietnam, presenting works of Polish composers at the National Centre for the Performing Arts in Mumbai (India), Ho Chi Minh City Conservatory of Music and the Vietnam National Academy of Music in Hanoi (Vietnam).
The project was funded by the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage and the City of Szczecin (2016-2018) as well as the Institute of Adam Mickiewicz (2019).
