The Fahrenheit Trio was formed in March 2005 by students of The Academy of Music in Gdansk, where, since trio’s very beginning, the musicians have had great chance of development under the guidance of prof. Anna Prabucka-Firlej and Robert Kwiatkowski.
No longer than after the first three months of work, Fahrenheit Trio won the 1st Prize of International Chamber Music Competition in Olesnica. This success gained them the reputation of one of the most interesting and promising chamber music ensembles of the young generation. The prize resulted in numerous concert invitations from cultural institutions and festivals. Trio’s performances were accompanied by broad interest of audiences as well as enthusiastic revues which emphasized great sensitivity and exceptional interpretation creativity of the young artists.
In order to perfect their skills and expand musical horizons, Fahrenheit Trio took part in many master classes, where they had a possibility to work under the guidance of as distinguished artists as Nicklas Schmidt (Germany), Konstantin i Maija Weitz (Austria), Jan Stanienda, Cecylia Barczyk (USA), Brenno Ambrosini (Spain).
All the above experience helped the ensemble win The 3rd Prize of International Johannes Brahms Chamber Music Competition in Gdansk, in April 2006. Such a prestigious award confirmed artists’ high level and dynamic development of the trio. It also brought a great number of concert invitations, however due to Anna and Stefan Wesolowskis’ child birth, the trio’s activities had to be suspended for a few months.
The Farenheit Trio has got back on stage with a recital during the X Chamber Music Festival ‘Musica Nos Unit’ in Gdańsk. Their performance, alongside such celebrities of world chamber music as Chilingirian Quartet, has been recognized as a great and important event.
Fahrenheit Trio is one of only four world’s ensembles which was invited to participate in master classes conducted by Emanuel Ax, in may 2007, in Villecroze (France). The courses are organized by Académie Musicale de Villecroze foundation which supports the most talented musicians of the young generation from all over the globe.
