Warsaw Camerata is a versatile ensemble performing music from baroque to modern. Its musicians are members of the most important institutions in Warsaw such as the Warsaw Philharmonic Orchestra, the Warsaw Chamber Opera and the Orchestra of the Polish National Opera.
Warsaw Camerata derives from the New Chamber Orchestra, the ensemble that between 2000 and 2010 performed in many significant concert halls – the Warsaw Philharmonic, the Polish National Opera and the Witold Lutosławski Concert Studio – and cooperated with the most prominent Polish and world artists. The orchestra was conducted by Ch. Hogwood and D. Vasiliev, it also accompanied soloists such as E. Kirkby, E. Connell or M. Chance.
The orchestra hosts the New Town’s Summer Festivals in Warsaw, organized since 2008, which present both widely known and forgotten Polish music.
