musicologist; b. 30th May 1947 in Wrocław; d. 22 July 2022 in Warsaw. He graduated from the Institute of Musicology at the Warsaw University.

From 1972, he collaborated with the magazine "Ruch Muzyczny". In the years 2008-2013 he was the editor-in-chief of the journal. He was the author of numerous publications and radio broadcasts.

From 1972 he was also associated with the International Festival of Contemporary Music ‘Warsaw Autumn’. In 1987-1995 he was the chairman of the Festival's Repertoire Committee. He was the member of the Polish Composers' Union since 1981.

From 2008, he was a jury member of the OPUS Public Media Award in the field of contemporary classical music.

In 2007 he was awarded the Silver Medal for Merit to Culture - Gloria Artis.
