The creative output of Maria Trzpis is characterized by stylistic diversity and an openness to differing musical aesthetics. Alongside works written for traditional instrumental and vocal ensembles, she creates electroacoustic music, interdisciplinary projects, and compositions that incorporate improvisation and extended performance techniques. She actively develops her work in the areas of electronic music, live electronics, and performance art. Folk music remains a significant source of inspiration throughout her creative endeavors.

Trzpis’ compositions have been featured at such concerts and festivals as the 9th Film Music Concert at the Academy of Music in Gdańsk, the Benefit of Maturity Gala Concert at the Polish Baltic Philharmonic, the "New Waves" Contemporary Music Festival, and the "Mundus Cantat" International Choral Music Festival in Sopot. In June 2025, she was a guest on the "Młoda Polska" broadcast hosted by Ewa Szczecińska on Polish Radio Program 2, where her music was also presented.

Together with Adam Świerzyński, she composed the music for the interdisciplinary performance Nótë, which was dedicated to Kashubian musical traditions and their presence in contemporary music. The premiere took place on May 7, 2026, at the Conservatoire royal de Bruxelles. The project was co-financed by the Creative Support Fund of the Society of Authors ZAiKS. She also collaborated with the NeoQuartet ensemble and the Icelandic collective S.L.Á.T.U.R., implementing experimental and interdisciplinary projects.

She actively participates in the life of the musical community. During her studies, she was a member of three student research circles. Her organizational contributions include co-managing the 9th and 10th Film Music Concerts at the Gdańsk Academy of Music, as well as the National Scientific Session and the concerts from the series Ideas of Music – Ideologies in Music.

Since 2025, she has been a board member of the Youth Circle of the Polish Composers' Union, dedicating herself to initiatives that support and promote the work of young composers. She also conducts popularization and educational activities on social media, presenting her own work and introducing audiences to topics related to contemporary music.
