composer, academic teacher, editor, and publisher. Born in 1981 in Olsztyn, he studied information technology at the University of Warmia and Mazury in 2000-01 and music theory at the Academy of Music in Kraków in 2001-07. In 2007 he obtained a degree in composing (with honours) from the Academy of Music in Kraków, having studied with Professor Józef Rychlik. He also studied at the Universität für Musik und Darstellende Kunst in Graz (Austria, 2005) and at numerous courses (run by Rebecca Saunders, Louis Adriessen, Johannes Schöllhorn, and James Clarke, among others). In 2008-12 he studied for a PhD at the Academy of Music in Kraków, obtaining the degree in March 2013 for the thesis "An a est… do słów Boecjusza – wybrane wątki autorefleksji kompozytorskiej." ("An a est… to text by Boethius" – selected motifs of a composer's reflection).

Since 2003 he has been an editor and publisher of sheet music at the publishing house of the Academy of Music in Kraków; since 2008 he has been an academic teacher at his alma mater.

Among the awards he won are: the first prize of the 2009 Musica Sacra competition for De caritate and the first prize of the 2008 Tadeusz Ochlewski Competition for Sonettino per clavicembalo.

He has been a member of Polish Composers' Union since 2011.

He mostly writes vocal and instrumental music. He considers the exploration of silence as a significant area of his artistic work.
