Release of „Panta rhei. Works for accordion duo with chamber orchestra" record

On the 28th of December, 2023, a unique project on the music market will be released on the Spotify platform, presenting the effects of cooperation between the Polish Art Philharmonic orchestra conducted by Michael Maciaszczyk and an accordion duo as soloists - the album Panta rhei.Works for accordion duo with chamber orchestra, published by the Association of Polish Chamber Musicians (SPMK 43). These are the premiere recordings of two double accordion concertos with chamber orchestra, composed by Anna Sowa and Bartosz Kowalski, commissioned by the musicians of the duoAccosphere ensemble.
This unique instrumental combination revealed new sound aspects related to colors and textural possibilities, and at the same time became an inspiration and a field for creative ideas of Polish artists. The album contains the phonographic premieres of the Concerto for accordion duet and string orchestra by Anna Sowa, composed on the occasion of the 25th International Accordion Music Festival in Przemyśl (2018), and Panta Rhei Concerto by Bartosz Kowalski for two accordions, strings and percussion, which was created as part of the "Composers’ Commissions" programme, implemented by the National Institute of Music and Dance (2023).
