Media patronage: Polish Music Information Centre POLMIC
"Chain XXI" in 21st century and Polish premieres of works by Ahmed Adnan Saygun, Willy Burkhard, Ingvar Lidholm, Giacinto Scelsi and Sándor Veress will take place from the 20th of January to the 4th of February, 2024 at the Witold Lutosławski Concert Studio of the Polish Radio as part of the 21st edition of the Witold Lutosławski Festival. The programme of the event, organized by the Society of Witold Lutosławski, refers to the celebration of the thirtieth anniversary of the composer's death.
His works, presented during each of the five concerts, will be accompanied by rarely performed pieces by outstanding representatives of music modernism. There will be six Polish premieres, including the premiere of Alban Berg's unknown and unfinished Passacaglia for orchestra, arranged by Christian von Borries.
