Anbild: Piano Concerto - Echoes Of The Holy Cross Mountain - Rhapsody
The album Anbild: Piano Concerto - Echoes Of The Holy Cross Mountain - Rhapsody contains the premiere recordings of forgotten, although often performed works by the long-time conductor of the Kielce Philharmonic and composer Karol Anbild. This is an album showing a fragment of the rich artistic heritage of the Kielce region.
Anbild eagerly used folk motifs in his works - on the album we hear them in the third part of the piano concerto and the fantasy poem Echo of the Świętokrzyskie Mountains based on the motif of a well-known Kielce song. Rhapsody for piano and symphony orchestra is, in turn, a piece in a jazz style, a tribute to the music of George Gershwin.
Artist performing the piano part is Artur Jaroń, a soloist and chamber musician with extensive concert achievements on Polish and international stages, including Carnegie Hall, associated with Kielce as a pedagogue and cultural activist. Anbild's works place high demands on the pianist, giving the artist the opportunity to present his musical sensitivity and technical flair - it is worth mentioning that Artur Jaroń was the first performer of Rhapsody in 1995, conducted by the composer. The Świętokrzyska Philharmonic Orchestra, led by its long-time director Jacek Rogala, also shows its best side, and the lyrical solo parts in the second part of the Piano Concerto deserve special attention.
