"If the titular surface is the point of contact between two faces of the same world, which of them does the reality of our existence align with? The surface becomes a mirror in which the subject observes their objectified reflection. But are we the ones beneath the surface, desiring to take a breath, or do we only observe what lies beneath, inaccessible to us? A point in the void, the mysterious nothingness of being, unites what is real with what is virtual, intertwining what is tangible with what is potential. This is about acoustic reality, whose space is defined by the intensity of sound, its color... timbre, the extensiveness of meanings. To what extent is what our perception sees the truth of nature, and to what extent is it a lie of culture? Spectral transformations of sound, electronic processing, sounds generated using a computer, and at the same time exploring the color possibilities of an instrument. In short, what is visible when looking through the surface is nothing different from what is beside us; it is merely its reflection."
