New composition Crux Christi salva nos by Szymon Godziemba-Trytek will be premiered on April 2, 2017 at the Witold Lutosławski Concert Studio of Polish Radio in Warsaw.
The composer holds a position of a composer-in-residence at the Polish Radio Choir in season 2016/17. He studied composition with Marek Jasiński and Marian Borkowski, and theory of music at the Academy of Music in Bydgoszcz. He is an award-winning artist whose works have been presented at numerous festivals in Poland and abroad.
During the premiere performance the Polish Radio Choir will be joined by soloists - Jan Jakub Monowid (countertenor), Piotr Kwinta (baritone), Leszek Lorent (percussion) and an instrumental ensemble under the baton of Szymon Wyrzykowski.
The concert is co-financed by the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage ("Composer-in-Residence" programme, implemented by the Institute of Music and Dance).
