Sinfonia Viva – “Polish Music”

Muzyka polskaSinfonia Viva’s new album Polish Music will be released on November 27, 2015. The album containing works by Polish composers was recorded on the occcasion of the orchestra’s 17th anniversary.

Ever since its first concerts, Sinfonia Viva has been renowned for its recognisable sound, the precision and passion it brings to the performance of works belonging to different music genres. The orchestra’s discography includes 46 albums, such as: "Muzyka i ekran" ("Music and Screen"), "Muzyka i ekran 2" (nominee for the "Fryderyk 2001" Music Award for the Best Contemporary Music Album), "Tango” ("Fryderyk 2005" nominee for the Best Orchestral Music Album), and "Uniesienie" ("Fryderyk 2005" nominee for the Best Jazz Album).

The new CD features Karol Szymanowski’s Etude in B flat minor, Op. 4 No. 3 (arr. T. Radziwonowicz), Fryderyk Chopin’s Nocturne in E flat major, Op. 9 No. 2 (arr. P. Sarasate/T. Radziwonowicz), Witold Lutosławski’s 5 Folk Melodies, Tomasz Radziwonowicz’s Cello Concerto and Mieczysław Karłowicz’s Serenade, Op. 2.
