This year’s edition of the Katowice Kultura Natura Festival, programmed under a theme "Spirituality", will be held on May 13-22, 2016. The opening concert will feature the performance of Olivier Messiaen’sTurangalîla-Symphonie for piano, ondes Martenot and orchestra.
The Festival was organized for the 1st time in 2015 by the Katowice Kultura Natura Association and the Polish National Radio Symphony Orchestra. Modern concert halls of Katowice will be filled with music (both classical and contemporary) performed by excellent musicians from Poland and abroad.
The event was initiated by Alexander Liebreich, artistic director of NOSPR, and Prof. Eugeniusz Knapik, rector of the Academy of Music in Katowice in 2002-2008 and chairman of the Katowice Kultura Natura Association.
The ticket sale will start on February 3, 2016.
