11th International Piano Forum "Bieszczady Without Borders", organized by the Podkarpacka Foundation for the Development of Culture, will be held between February 7 and 12, 2016 in Sanok.
"Bieszczady Without Borders" combines the full range of knowledge necessary for young musicians: from music theory to practice, from health and rehabilitation activities to activities concerned with the promotion and basis of knowledge of the business world. Around 150 selected active and passive participants from Poland, Slovakia, Ukraine and Russia will take part in music academy, piano course, international music festival and competition for the most interesting pianistic personality. The main theme of this year’s edition is 3xB, or Bach, Beethoven, Brahms. The event will include also the 7th International Piano Competition "Young Virtuoso" and 5th Master School of Piano Pedagogy.
The Podkarpacka Foundation was established in 2009. The major objective of its projects is to support education and development of young Polish pianists, maintain national tradition, cultivate and develop national and cultural consciousness as well as to promote international cooperation and integration, with particular attention to the Carpathian region and music culture of Poland, Slovakia and Ukraine.
