2016 edition of the International Music Festival Sacrum Non Profanum will be held in Berlin, Szczecin and Trzęsacz between July 31 and August 13, 2016.
The main goal of this year’s edition, apart from promoting Witold Lutosławski’s music, is popularizing the work of talented Polish artists. The guests performers will present to the wide audience various art forms, including music, films, visual art and photography. The concerts will be performed by Amadeus and Academia Orchestras, Diverso String Quartet, Meccore String Quartet, Jan Szyrocki Academic Choir, French clarinetist Jean-Marc Fessard, Austrian ensemble The Threex, German singers Anna Hofmann, Katharina Thomas, Christoph Schröter, and Tobias Oliver Hagge, Dorota Miśkiewicz with Kwadrofonik and Mieczysław Szcześniak accompanied by Krzysztof Herdzin’s trio.
The events will be held at the Cathedral Basilica of St. James the Apostle, Mieczysław Karłowicz Philharmonic, Castle of the Pomeranian Dukes, Opera at the Castle (Szczecin), Church of Divine Mercy (Trzęsacz) and Herz Jesu Kirche (Berlin).
