Festival of Baroque Operas

Festiwal Oper Barokowych 2nd edition of the Festival of Baroque Operas "Dramma per Musica" will held from September 2-18, 2016 in the Royal Łazienki Museum in Warsaw.

The only festival in Poland that presents productions of Baroque operas interpreted by Polish artsits will be inaugurated with an opera and dance project Sognando la morte, performed by mezzosoprano Anna Radziejewska and dancer and choreographer Jacek Tyski. The programme includes also Leonardo Vinci’s Semiramida Riconosciuta (a work which has not been performed in Europe for over 300 years), directed by Ewelina Pietrowiak and prepared under musical guidance of Marco Vitale, and last year’s production of Georg Friedrich Händel’s Orlando, as well as vocal recitals and chamber concerts.
