Tickets sale for the7th edition of the Festival of World Premieres is now open. The event will be held on March 24-26, 2017 at the halls of the National Polish Radio Symphony Orchestra in Katowice.
The Festival has been organized since 2005. Held every 2 years, it focuses on presenting Polish contemporary music - either brand new works that have their premieres at the festival concerts or compositions that have not been performed in Poland before. This year, the programme covers music by Rafał Augustyn, Zbigniew Bargielski, Zygmunt Krauze, Hanna Kulenty-Majoor, Krzysztof Meyer, Piotr Moss, Ryszard Gabryś, and other composers, which will be interpreted by the National Polish Radio Symphony Orchestra, AUKSO Chamber Orchestra, Silesian Quartet, New Music Orchestra, Daniel Costello, Barbara Kinga Majewska, Alina Mleczko, Piotr Orzechowski, Geneviève Strosser, and Hannah Weisbach.
