PRIMUZ Orchestra will premiere Cantabile by Sławomir Kaczorowski on February 19, 2017 at Academy of Music in Łódź.
PRIMUZ String Orchestra was founded in 2012 on the occasion of the 55th anniversary of the Department of String Instruments of the Academy of Music in Łódź. The idea was initiated by violinist and chamber musician Łukasz Błaszczyk. The ensemble consists of most talented students and graduates of the Academy. During the February concert, the performers will present classical repertoire (Harpsichord Concerto in D minor BWV 1052 by Johann Sebastian Bach and Cello Concert in C major No. 1, Hob. VIIb:1 by Joseph Haydn) and premiere a new work by Sławomir Kaczorowski (Cantabile), which was dedicated to the orchestra. The solo parts will be performed by pianist Zbigniew Raubo and cellist Rafał Kwiatkowski.
