The 5th edition of the workshops “AUKSO Young Philharmonic” will take place between December 10 and 15, 2017.
The project is organized by the AUKSO Chamber Orchestra of the City of Tychy and Gorczycki.pl Society, and co-finaned by the Institute of Music and Dance as part of the programme „Music and Dance – Interventions 2017”.
The organisers invite young musicians form all over the world (aged 16 to 30) who play at such instruments as violin, viola, cello and contrabass to perform with the AUKSO Chamber Orchestra of the City of Tychy under the direction of Marek Moś and leading violinist Jakub Jakowicz. The organisers will cover all the costs: accomodation, full board, transfers, orchestral and soloist workshops. The artistc program includes such pieces as Suite in G major for string orchestra by I. J. Paderewski, Concerto for violin and string orchestra by A. Panufnik and Serenade E major, Op. 22 for string orchestra by A. Dvořák.
An application for the workshops has to be submitted by November 24, 2017 via the registration form available at www.gorczycki.pl. A short (2-4 minutes) professional audio recording of any baroque or classical work has to be enclosed and sent via e-mail at This email address is being protected from spambots.
