Kraków | Viennese with Sinfonietta Cracovia

SC

Ahead of us is another meeting with an exceptional guest from the Austrian capital. In this year's edition of the cycle "Viennese with Sinfonietta" on April 14, 2019 at 7.00 p.m. in the Gallery of 19th-century Polish Art in the Cloth Hall – a branch of the National Museum – music lovers will have a chance to meet Rainer Honeck – a concertmaster of the legendary Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra.

The star of the evening – Rainer Honeck – is an artist valued for his extraordinary sensitivity and sound culture as well as sophisticated Mozart interpretations. The artist sits on the Programme and Artistic Council of Sinfonietta Cracovia. He plays s Stradivarius ex-Hämmerle violin (1709). During the concert in Kraków, Rainer Honeck will perform in a double role: a soloist and a conductor of the Sinfonietta Cracovia Orchestra.

The programme will include Violin Doncert No. 1 in C major by Joseph Haydn, String Quartet in C sharp minor, Op. 131 by Ludwig van Beethoven, and Verklärte Nacht, the first symphonic poem written for a chamber group and one of the first important works of a twenty-five-year-old modernist, representative of the Second Viennese School, Arnold Schönberg.
