The Musica Vera Association invites you on Good Friday – April 19, 2019 – to the event titled "Music of Silence", which will take place in the Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Toruń at 10:00 p.m.
It is more than a concert – it is a joint reflection at the Tomb of Christ, it is God's Word to move hearts and, finally, it is unique music, the most perfect tool to express emotions. When all the parishes will plunge into deep silence after the Good Friday liturgies, one of the most beautiful churches in Toruń will begin adoration through music...
The Schola Cantorum Thorunensis Vocal Ensemble under the direction of Paweł Głowiński will perform Stabat Mater by Giovanni Pierluigi da Palestrina, Miserere by Gregorio Allegri and Fac me tecum pie flere (from Stabat Mater) by Karol Szymanowski. Fragments of the Holy Bible will be read by prelate Wojciech Niedźwiecki.
The event is co-financed from the funds of the Toruń Municipality. Admission free!
