A students' concert entitled "Composing debuts" will take place at the Stanisław Moniuszko Academy of Music in Gdańsk on May 22, 2019 at 5.00 pm.
The concert will feature compositions for chamber ensembles written by the freshman year students of composition. We will listen to such works as: River Course and a cycle of three songs Memories by Anna Janowicz, Song from the heart..., The Illusion variations for celesta solo and Fantasy for cello, harpsichord and bells by Krzysztof Tomasz Jurczak, Songs for Voice and Piano to words by Adam Mickiewicz and third part of String Quartet by Piotr Kasiłowski as well as first part of String Quartet No. 1 and Reed Trio by Milosz Kowalewski. The finale will feature pieces by Milena Słowikowska: Lullaby for solo vibraphone and Two Crosses for voice and instrumental ensemble.
The works will be performed by talented students of the Gdańsk university classes of flute, oboe, clarinet, bassoon, trumpet, tuba, violin, viola, cello, double bass, piano, harpsichord, harp, guitar, accordion, percussion instruments, and singing.
