The premiere of Missa Brevis for soprano, mezzo-soprano, two horns, flute and string quartet by Paweł Pudło will take place on May 26, 2019 at 7.00 p.m. in the Church of Peace in Świdnica.
The mass was commissioned by the Good Music Foundation as part of the "Collections – Composing Commissions" programme, carried out by the Institute of Music and Dance. It was composed especially for the Church of Peace, in which there are two organs: the symphonic Schlag organ and the Baroque altar organs. The work will be premiered by Świdnik organists Zuzanna and Maciej Bator, soprano Dominika Zamara, currently living in Venice, mezzo-soprano Magdalena Cornelius, horn players Anna and Grzegorz Mondry, flutist Sylwia Waindok and a string quartet composed of: Marcin Ostrowski, Dagmara Swestun, Marlena Grodzicka-Myślak and Jakub Ponder.
The organizers of the concert are the Good Music Foundation, the Evangelical-Augsburg parish in Świdnica and the City of Świdnica. The honorary patrons of the event are the Evangelical Bishop Waldemar Pytel and the President of Świdnica Beata Moskal-Słaniewska.
