Warsaw | Starry Night Concert: St. John's Night

The Heavens of Copernicus Planetarium is proud to invite both music and astronomy enthusiasts for a magnificent "Starry Night Concert" on St. John's Night, 21 June 2019 at 7pm. It one of the series of classical music concerts, enhanced with visualisations on the planetarium dome.

The programme of the concert sounds extremely interesting as it includes solely works for four violins! They will be presented by Violinofonica – violin quartet founded by Agnieszka Marucha and composed of the most talented students of the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music. Dr hab. Agnieszka Marucha is a violinist, soloist, chamber musician and teacher. She graduated with honors from the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music in the class of prof. Mirosława Ławrynowicz and Hochschüle der Künste in Bern under the supervision of prof. Monika Urbaniak-Lisik. For many years, he has been promoting works by Polish composers in Poland and abroad.

The programme of St. John's concert features works by Georg Friedrich Telemann, Jacob Dont and Polish composers: Four Silesian Melodies (1954) by Witold Lutosławski, Silesian Melodies (2018) by Weronika Olbrot, Looking through the glass (2019) by Tomasz Dudziński and Star Waltz (2019) – the latest quartet by Iwona Kisiel.
