Euro Chamber Music Festival Gdańsk is the largest international festival of chamber music in northern Poland starting each year on 21 June, the World Music Day. This year's edition will last till 14 July 2019.
The most important events of the eighth edition will be a concert on 23 June in Stary Maneż, featuring a legendary band Żuki in rendition of the greatest hits of The Beatles, Krzysztof Klenczon and Czesław Niemen, and a concert on July 14 in St. Mary's Basilica in homage to the late Gdańsk President Paweł Adamowicz during which parts of Mozart's Requiem will be interwoven with Adamowicz's thoughts recited by actor Jerzy Stuhr. The programme of the Festival will also include music of Fryderyk Chopin and Aleksander Tansman performed by Cracow Duo.
