Koszalin | 53rd International Organ Festival

The 53rd International Organ Festival organised by the Stanisław Moniuszko Koszalin Philharmonic – one of the largest and oldest festivals in Poland – will be held between 5 July and 30 August 2019.

The International Organ Festival returns to the cathedral in Koszalin. The 9 main concerts will be held there, featuring musicians from around the world: Poland, the Czech Republic, Costa Rica, Luxembourg, Russia, Taiwan, Ukraine and Italy. Festival concerts will also take place in churches in Darłowo, Białogard, Bobolice, Dźwirzyno, Mielno, Szczecinek and Sarbinowo. The world-famous violinist Konstanty Andrzej Kulka will take part in the final concert.

During the inauguration concert, the Choir of the Koszalin University "Canzon", the Koszalin Philharmonic Orchestra and soloists under Karol Borsuk will perform works of Feliks Nowowiejski, Marian Sawa, Mieczysław Surzyński and Stanisław Moniuszko. The programme of the Festival also includes compositions by Adam Jarzębski, Krzysztof Penderecki, Wojciech Kilar, Krzesimir Dębski, Marek Czerniewicz, Maciej Śmietański, Anna Rocławska-Musiałczyk and Fryderyk Chopin. On 2 June, the vocal group Art'n'Voices will premiere choral works by Polish composers of the young generation: Marek Raczyński and Jakub Szafrański.
