A concert of Chopin Piano Duo will take place on 18 July 2019 at 6:00 p.m. in the Karol Szymanowski Museum in the Villa 'Atma' in Zakopane.

Villa 'Atma' is the world’s only biographical museum of Karol Szymanowski, the father of modern Polish music. This historic chalet in Zakopane, where the composer made his home, is filled with music. The central theme is the work of Szymanowski, as well as that of his predecessors and followers. Performers include both renowned masters and talented young artists, winners of music competitions who interpret the work of the creator of Myths and Harnasie in innovative ways.

The upcoming concert will feature Chopin Piano Duo composed of Anna Boczar and Bartłomiej Kominek. We will listen to their renditions of the works by Edvard Grieg and Franz Schubert as well as the Tatra Album op. 12 by Ignacy Jan Paderewski and Grand Duo Concertant in E major on Themes from "Robert le Diable" by Fryderyk Chopin. The concert will be hosted by dr hab. Małgorzata Janicka-Słysz, Professor of the Academy of Music in Kraków and programme curator at the "Atma".
