"Fonie Lublina" concert series continues during the summer. A concert entitled "Stanisław Moniuszko and Fryderyk Chopin" will take place on 24 August 2019 at 6:00 p.m. in the Crown Tribunal in Lublin.
Fryderyk Chopin is spoken of as a romantic; Stanisław Moniuszko is often portrayed as a positivist. It is true on historical and aesthetic basis, but when you look closely at the music of both artists, it turns out that they have much in common. The programme of the upcoming concert includes songs of both composers as well as works by continuators of their traditions – outstanding pianist-composers and creators of operas and songs. The concert will feature soprano Ewa Biegas and pianists Agnieszka Schulz-Brzyska and Grzegorz Biegas.
The project is implemented thanks to the support of the City of Lublin. Admission to the concert is free.
