15th International Chamber Music Festival "Sacrum et Musica", organized by the Witold Lutosławski Chamber Philharmonic in Łomża, will be held between 24 August and 6 October 2019.
This year's anniversary edition of the festvial will feature chamber ensembles: Cello Quartet "Cellissimo", Capella Bydgostiensis, String Quartet of the W. Lutosławski Chamber Philharmonic in Łomża, Alla Breve Quartet, Polish Solo Quartet, and five Polish and foreign orchestras: W. Lutosławski Chamber Philharmonic Orchestra in Łomża, Jerzy Semkow Polish Sinfonia Iuventus Orchestra, "La Notte" Chamber Orchestra from Suwałki, Lietuvos Kamerinis Orkestras and Brest Chamber Orchestra from Belarus. Orchestras from Vilnius and Brest will perform in Łomża for the first time.
Polish Sinfonia Iuventus Orchestra will perform the famous 9th Symphony by Antonín Dvořák and Concerto for clarinet and orchestra by Mikołaj Górecki. The latter work was premiered on 16 November 2018 during the inauguration of the 6th Katowice Days of Henryk Mikołaj Górecki. Roman Widaszek, one of the greatest Polish clarinetists of his generation, to whom the work was dedicated, will perform as a soloist. Wojciech Rajski will lead the orchestra.
