A chamber concert on 30 August 2019 at 7 p.m. at the Ignacy Jan Paderewski Pomeranian Philharmonic in Bydgoszcz will make the inevitable end of summer more bearable.
The evening will be filled with popular and well-liked works performed by Capella Bydgostiensis together with young vocalists, graduates of the Academy of Music in Bydgoszcz: soprano Hanna Okońska-Ratajczak, currently a soloist of the Grand Theater in Łódź, and tenor Łukasz Ratajczak, who cooperates with the Krakow Opera, the Baltic Opera in Gdańsk and the Musical Theater in Lublin.
The programme will feature works by J. Strauss, E. Kálmán, J. Brahms, N. Dostal, V. Di Chiara, F. Loewe, L. Dalli, AL Webber, L. Bernstein, as well as Waldemar Kazanecki's Waltz from the movie Nights and Days and Wojciech Kilar's Polonaise from the movie Pan Tadeusz. The concert will be led by Bernard Chmielarz – experienced conductor, arranger, composer and double bassist, co-creator of the Philharmonic of Wit.
