Tarnowskie Góry | Harpsichord as a social instrument

Elżbieta Chojnacka Centre for Contemporary Harpsichord Music invites you to the concert "Harpsichord as a social instrument", which will take place on 22 September 2019 at 6 p.m. in the Palace in Rybna as part of the "Two streams" series.

Concert life is travel, rehearsals, meetings, mutual inspirations, motivations, shared passion. Artistic element. The concert programme will consist of works from these journeys, a fusion of cultures and various types of music: French, German, Australian, Spanish, Argentine, African and Polish, among others Six folk melodies for harpsichord and guitar by Marek Pasieczny. We will also listen to musical portrait of the harpsichordist Hanna Balcerzak by Philip Czapłowski and the premiere of Hommage a Elizabeth pour clavecin, Op. 68 (2018) by Tomasz Kamieniak, composed at the turn of May and June 2018, on the first death anniversary of Elżbieta Chojnacka (on 10 September this year the artist would celebrate her 80th birthday).

The harpsichord will be accompanied by the sounds of guitar, accordion and drums. Exceptional artists were invited to participate in the concert: harpsichordists Magdalena Bąk, Aleksandra Gajecka-Antosiewicz and Hanna Balcerzak, drummer Arkadiusz Kuc, accordionist Leszek Kołodziejski and Due Corde ensemble.
