Generacje XXII

A concert "Generations XXII" will take place on 6 October 2019 at 7 p.m. at the Witold Lutosławski Polish Radio Concert Studio.

The first edition of this cyclical event organized by the Polish Composers' Union, Polish Radio Programme 2 and the ZAiKS Association of Authors took place in 2003. "Generations" present various trends in new Polish music and creative attitudes of different generations.

The authors of the programme concept of the upcoming concert are Małgorzata Małaszko-Stasiewicz (Director, editor-in-chief of Programme 2 of Polish Radio), Dariusz Przybylski (composer, vice-chairman of the Section of Authors of Musical Works of the ZAiKS Association) and Tadeusz Wielecki (Polish Composers' Union). We will have a chance to listen to Charlie's Dream for saxophone and orchestra by Marta Ptaszyńska, Le Soleil for percussion and orchestra by Grażyna Pstrokońska-Nawratil, ... veritas odium parit for orchestra by Zofia Dowgiałło, Psychodrama for orchestra by Tadeusz Baird, and ..., meanwhile July is so (cruelly) beautiful ..., for soprano and orchestra by Bohdan Sehin. Sehin is a student of Mirosław Skoryk, Zbigniew Bujarski and Zygmunt Krauze, scholarship holder of the "Gaude Polonia" programme and the Friends of the "Warsaw Autumn" Foundation, artistic director of the International Master Courses for New Music in Kiev (COURSE).

The pieces will be presented by the Polish Radio Orchestra in Warsaw conducted by Lilianna Krych. The soloists will be soprano Halina Dubitskaya, saxophonist Paweł Gusnar and drummer Miłosz Pękala.
