The third edition of the Rzeszów Musical Autumn Festival will be held on 5-27 October 2019, featuring six chamber concerts.
The third edition of the Festival is dedicated to chamber music, both its masterpieces and forgotten treasures. The repertoire will feature rarely performed music of Polish artists, including Władysław Żeleński and Zygmunt Noskowski, as well as chamber music of the creator of Polish national opera in the Year of Stanisław Moniuszko.
The concerts will feature great instrumentalists: legendary violinist Kaja Danczowska with her daughter Justyna, and Krzysztof Książek – one of the most interesting and talented pianists of the young generation in the piano quartet with fantastic musicians: Jakub Jakowicz (violin), Katarzyna Budnik (viola) and Bartosz Koziak (cello). Moniuszko's songs will be performed during a vocal recital of Hanna Hipp – mezzo-soprano conquering world opera stages. In addition, we will listen to Ravel Piano Duo, Messages Quartet, as well as the Extra Sounds Ensemble chamber orchestra with soloists: Alicja Śmietana and Maria Sławek.
The events will take place in the concert hall of the Faculty of Music at the University of Rzeszów (83 Dąbrowskiego St.) and the Dominican Church of St. Hyacinth (15 Dominikańska St.). Admission to all concerts is free!
