The Ignacy Jan Paderewski Academy of Music in Poznań invites you to the 3rd Poznań SaxEvent, which will take place on 13-15 December 2019.
The 3rd Poznań SaxEvent is organised by Magdalena Jakubska-Szymiec, PhD and Rafał Rachwał, PhD. The active participation in the festival guarantees one master class (45 min) with one of the festival guests (Vincent David, Sergey Kolesov, Tomás A. Lopéz), the opportunity to participate in all open lessons, admission to festival concerts, as well as the opportunity to perform at Lunch Concert. The passive participation allows participants to take part in all open lessons as an auditor and receive invitations to festival concerts.
The festival will feature four concerts: Inaugural Concert performed by students and lecturers of the Music Academy in Poznań (13 December), Gala Concert (14 December), Lunch Concert "Stage for the Youth" performed by students of Prmiary and Secondary Music Schools (15 December), and Final Concert (15 December). The repertoire will consist of works for saxophone by composers from around the world, including Michał Janocha, a graduate of the Poznań Academy.
The festival will be accompanied by exhibitions of instruments and accessories: Henri Selmer Paris and Sonore Michał Piotrowski, Yamaha and Jarmuła Music, D’addario and Music Dealer as well as Wojciech Pawlak Serwice and Repair of Instruments Centre.
