The best concerts and interviews with Polish conductors and soloists in the "Dwójka’s Philharmonic"

PR2

Polish Radio Channel 2, as part of the “Dwójka’s Philharmonic” ("Filharmonia Dwójki") programme, offers its listeners six musical evenings per week. From Monday to Friday at 7.00 p.m., and on Sundays at 6.00 p.m., we will listen to concerts preceded by short interviews with their conductors and soloists.

"Dwójka’s Philharmonic" is the largest "concert hall" in the country. Almost every day it presents concerts from the most prestigious European and world stages as well as the most important events of Polish music festivals. On Thursdays, it is most likely to hear contemporary music. Fridays are reserved for concerts of the Polish National Radio Symphony Orchestra, and Sundays feature concerts of the Polish Radio Orchestra in Warsaw. Polish Radio Channel 2 is the only station that broadcasts concerts of the Ludwig van Beethoven Easter Festival, Sacrum Profanum, Misteria Paschalia, or the "Warsaw Autumn".

Currently, the flagship programme of the Polish Radio Channel 2 features the best concerts performed by Polish artists in order to support them in the times when they are not able to perform in front of the audience. In addition, the station made sure that every musical evening is announced by its performers, conductors or soloists, in the form of telephone interviews.

In the upcoming days, we will listen to, among others, the Inaugural Concert of the 11th Witold Lutosławski International Cello Competition, which will be preceded by a conversation with cellist Zuzanna Sosnowska (27 April at 7.30 p.m.), and "Polish Music Concert" from the National Philharmonic, during which we will hear Ignacy Jan Paderewski’s Piano Concerto in A minor, Op. 17 and Wojciech Kilar’s Missa pro pace (3 May at 6.00 p.m.).
