The Silesian Philharmonic is celebrating its 75th anniversary this year. Despite the current difficult situation, the institution invites you to celebrate it with its musicians without leaving home. On 26 May 2020, exactly on the 75th anniversary of the first concert held in the philharmonic hall, you will be able to participate in a great online event.

Live broadcasts on Facebook and YouTube will ba available almost the whole day. The Silesian Philharmonic invites viewers to have a guided tour of its building and learn about its history through various stories,  anecdotes and memories of world-renowned musicians. During live conversations, music lovers will be able to respond and ask questions. Although the Great Anniversary Gala is postponed, the artists who were supposed to perform – Leszek Możdżer, Katarzyna Hołysz, Małgorzata Walewska, Andrzej Lampert and Aleksander Teliga– will also appear on Facebook to celebrate the anniversary

The Philharmonic will also present fragments of concerts of its orchestras and choir. Additionally, at 7:00 p.m., there will be an online concert with the premiere recordings of works by Witold Friemann, Johann Sebastian Bach and Ludwig van Beethoven. Especially for this occasion, Adam Wesołowski – director of the Silesian Philharmonic – composed a 75-second fanfare, which premiere will begin the final concert of the day.

During the time spent together, viewers will learn a bit of history, immerse themselves in memories and learn something about what will happen in the future – because the 76th artistic season is just around the corner!
