Through it, the Adam Mickiewicz Institute wishes to pay tribute to the Professor’s memory. Gardening – one of Penderecki’s greatest passions – has been chosen as the leitmotif of this undertaking. By filling the garden with new music and other works inspired by the Polish composer’s oeuvre, the Adam Mickiewicz Institute is highlighting his importance for world culture and allowing internet users all over the globe to discover the legacy of Krzysztof Penderecki, his influence on artists in Poland and around the world, as well the the figure of a man who had a myriad different passions.
