Warsaw | "Pinokrąg" concert series by Bartłomiej Wąsik

Panokrag

A new concert series "Pianokrąg" will be inaugurated by pianist and arranger Bartek Wąsik on 28 June at 6.00 p.m. in the Sculpture Park in Królikarnia. The programme of four chamber meetings will include compositions by Max Richter, Radiohead, Philip Glass and Wąsik himself.

On the one hand, the name of the series refers to the word horizon – the line at which the earth's surface and the sky appear to meet. On the other hand, it introduces the idea of participating in a circle, in a community, in this case gathered around one instrument – the piano.

The programme of the series includes enchanting miniatures by Max Richter, original arrangements of Radiohead's songs, mesmerizing compositions by Philip Glass, and finally the premiere of the solo project of Bartek Wąsik. The pianist will perform in the Sculpture Park in Królikarnia, where the audience will be able to listen to the concert while walking around the park, sitting or lying on the grass and maintaining the social distance.

All concerts will be streamed live by the National Film Archive – Audiovisual Institute (FINA) on its Facebook page, and the recordings will be then available on the Ninateka website.
